The Number Nobody Reports

Most social reporting counts followers. Followers are the people who already found you.

The number that matters is how far past them a post travels. At Nala Resort, content reached 189% of the following in the first five weeks. At Wildside Adventures, 93% of a 28-day Facebook reach was people who had never followed the page.

That is the difference between talking to your customers and finding new ones. We build both halves from Mission Beach, across Far North Queensland and from here to anywhere.

Earned, Not Posted

Paid is paid. Organic is organic. Neither one is the prize.

The prize is earned: content other people think is worth passing on. Nobody buys earned and nobody schedules it. It arrives when the thing you made is genuinely interesting to somebody who does not work for you.

So we aim at newsworthy rather than frequent, and worth sharing rather than worth posting. That is why 93% of Wildside's Facebook reach was people who had never followed the page, and why Nala reached almost twice its following inside five weeks.

What A Month Looks Like
01The PlanWhat we are trying to move, and the number that says whether it moved.
02The ContentShot, written and edited here. Photography, video and drone where the story needs them, not as a separate quote.
03The PillarsPosted to the themes the brand set, so the feed argues one case instead of six.
04The PaidCampaigns built to a target, with the budget and the cost per result on the record.
05Search EverywhereContent written to be found in search and in the engines that answer rather than list.
06The ReportWhat ran, what it cost, what it returned. Early numbers labelled early.
Questions · Five On FileSocial & Paid[Answered]
01Do we need paid ads, or is organic enough?

It depends what you are trying to do. Organic builds an audience and compounds slowly. Paid buys attention now against a specific offer. Nala grew 523% on Instagram in five weeks on content alone. Headland needed leads by a date, so it ran paid.

02How much should we spend on ads?

Enough to learn something. The Headland campaign sits on this site with its spend, its leads and its cost per lead, updating as it runs, which is a more useful answer than a number in the abstract.

03Who makes the content?

We do. Photography, video and drone are part of the job rather than a separate quote.

04Can you work with our existing team?

Yes. Sometimes the right arrangement is us on strategy and paid while your team posts.

05Do you only work in Far North Queensland?

Based at Mission Beach, working from here to anywhere. Four of our clients are within twenty minutes of the office.
